As more businesses contemplate taking cryptocurrency as a form of payment, it appears that e-commerce behemoth Amazon is exploring it as well. According to a recent job advert on the company’s official website. Amazon is looking for a qualified individual to fill the job of Digital Currency and Blockchain Product Lead, despite the fact that it currently does not accept cryptocurrencies as a method of payment on its website. The candidate who hits the mark, according to the job description, will be instrumental in establishing “Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap.”

Respective candidate needs to have proper understanding and knowledge if they want to take the position of “Blockchain, Distributed Ledger, Central Bank Digital Currencies, and Cryptocurrency.”

The listing claims that the information will be put to good use “to develop the case for the capabilities which should be developed, drive the overall vision and product strategy, and gain leadership buy-in and investment for new capabilities.”

The position is part of the Payments Acceptance & Experience team, according to Amazon Jobs, and is situated in Seattle, Washington. According to the job description, the job will entail creating a roadmap that encompasses “customer experience, technical strategy, and capabilities, as well as the launch strategy.”

The job posting clearly suggests that the firm is open to embracing cryptocurrencies in the future. It also means that Bitcoin or any type of cryptocurrency can be used to make payments and will be accepted by Amazon for placing orders.

“We’re inspired by the innovation happening in the cryptocurrency space and are exploring what this could look like on Amazon. We believe the future will be built on new technologies that enable modern, fast, and inexpensive payments, and hope to bring that future to Amazon customers as soon as possible.” the company’s spokesman confirmed. Apple published a job position for a business development manager with experience in the cryptocurrency sector, indicating a common interest in cryptocurrencies in the month of May this year. According to the job description, the candidate would be in charge of the company’s alternative payment partnership programme.“We are looking for a proven professional in global alternative and emerging payment solutions,” says the listing, making move towards accepting cryptocurrency payments.
