Anurag Thakur, the Sports Minister, released “Fit India app” to commemorate Fit India Initiative’s second anniversary

Taking care of health is the most important task that every person must accomplish in order to live a healthy life. Although, it is very hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle due to every day’s busy life. However, to assist people to stay fit the Central Government on the second anniversary of the Fit India Initiative, launched the Fit India smartphone application to support the initiative.

Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Youth and Sports, inaugurated the Fit India mobile application at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi late Sunday. According to the government, the smartphone app is specially designed to offer personal training to people in order to raise fitness awareness amongst them.The Central government chooses this day to release an app to give a tribute to the hockey hero Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary.

Minister of State for Sports Nisith Pramanik, Sports Secretary Ravi Mittal, and Director General of Sports Authority of India (SAI) Sandeep Pradhan were among the dignitaries in attendance. The event was also virtually witnessed by Manpreet Singh, the captain of the Tokyo Olympics hockey squad.

“Using this app, people will be able to measure the number of steps they have taken, how much workout the people have completed”, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur remarked on the event. Fit India app not only works on Android and iOS devices but has also been designed to run on the most basic smartphone handsets. Currently, the users can simply download the app for free via Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Step 1. Look for the Fit India app in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Step 2. Start your workout regimen by installing the application.

Furthermore, the app would make it simple to stick to a workout program. Monitoring fitness levels, counting steps, sleep, calorie intake, and creating tailored diet programs are just a few of the options available.
