Nintendo announced today that Dr. Mario World will launch for Android and iOS next month. The game was first announced in January, with Nintendo touting that the “action puzzle” game would be launched globally during the summer of 2019.
Dr. Mario World for mobile is based on the 1990 game Dr. Mario, and it allows players to match various different colored capsules with viruses and watch them disappear. Players will have to simply match the same colored objects vertically or horizontally to clear them. In the game, luckily Dr. Mario and friends have virus-busting skills, and so, you can use leftover half-capsules to strategically zero in on some special meddlesome viruses.
Since the puzzling configuration of viruses must be cleared using a limited number of capsules, players need to take their time and keep calm to plan their approach. At the final, the players would get rid of Dr. Mario’s world of viruses in no time!
This time, there are some newly added features to the classic game. This time, the players can send and receive stamina-giving hearts, as well as play one-on-one showdowns with other people. It will also help in increasing your online tier standings through one-on-one online victories. And also, this time Dr. Mario will be joined by various other characters like Dr. Peach, Dr. Toad, Dr. Yoshi, and Dr. Bowser. In addition to showing off gameplay, Nintendo also explained how Dr.
Mario World’s monetization will work. Mobile puzzle gamers will find familiar money-making strategies at play. Nintendo promises five worlds to play through at launch, with more levels coming to the game over time. For this game, persistent internet connection is required, meaning one can’t play Dr. Mario World while offline. The game is designed for both the iPad and iPhone.
