With mobile software gaining early or first access to new things feels like an accomplishment in its own way, and that is now possible to obtain from Google’s Messages too. On Monday, Google announced its testing schedule of the beta version of the Messages app, which is a standard application for Android, and that people could soon join it.

But according to reports, the program reached its capacity within a day. One will see a note given below from Google when tried to join the Beta program:

“Thanks for your interest in becoming a tester for the Messages app. However, at this time, Messages app’s testing program has reached the maximum number of testers that can participate in it and isn’t accepting any more testers.”

This is not the first time Google has announced beta testing of an app. “The Open Beta gives users the opportunity to test, and provide input and feedback on experimental features not yet released to the general public,” says the company on its support page.

With other betas running via the official Android app marketplace from Google, there’s bound to be some hiccups with the test version of the app and there’s really no clue as to what each update will bring with it. Access to new features, UI enhancements, bug fixes, along with other improvements well ahead of others will be provided to those who sign up early for the beta testing.

Signing in for a beta testing process does not require much of any description, but what is needed is for a user to navigate to the appropriate page for Messages on a smartphone or compatible Android device. The prime requirement is going to be that the device needs access to SMS apps via SIM card and to be recognized by the Play Store.

Not every single update is going to involve enormous improvements, but when they land, participating users would be the first one to gain access there.
