How Google Is Controlling the Whole Search Market?

Whether you want to search the internet or send an email, stream a video or listen to music, use social media or shop online, it’s almost impossible to bypass Google.

Regardless of whether you need to look through the web or send an email, transfer a video or tune in to music, utilize web-based media or shop on the web, it’s practically difficult to sidestep Google.

Google is the most popular search engine in the world and its processes near about 3.5 billion searches every single day, non-stop. Not only is it the most popular search engine but also predictably has one of the largest caches of user data in the world, potentially surpassing government agencies like the NSA, CIA, and FBI.

It is evident and visible that google dominates a huge area of the digital market apart from the other big giants like Amazon, Facebook, Apple.

The question that arises here is whether Google, the company with the slogan of “Don’t be evil,” that dominates the digital market platform cares to make sure that it practices the slogan that it preaches the world about.

There’s no doubt that search engines help us easily navigate the web, but we have to remember that Google is a corporation, not a public service.

We need to remember, Google’s haggling force and dissolvability are two of a kind. In this merciless rivalry, they have never, as of not long ago, drawn the short straw. Furthermore, even with basically all-incredible enemies, new tech scarcely gets a look in and genuine choices are difficult to find.

Why can no one match Google and its services?

Part of the reason lies in the math. Google operates at an insane level, processing 3.5 billion searches per day that ranges with queries from cheap flight bookings to hair transplant or the latest news about the elections going on in your country,  everything spits out by google and its algorithms.

To get millions of people to try a different search algorithm is expensive – and to get them to keep that behaviour permanently is even more expensive. The only way such change becomes feasible is if a product comes out that is 10x better than Google, and at this point, such an event seems unlikely – at least in the current ecosystem.

Taking into consideration the present day scenario, there are competitors that dare to pluck away at Google’s market share in search and ad revenue, but they have been able to make so much as only a  dent in the web.

Microsoft’s Bing is the most known one, and it has the advantage of being integrated into Microsoft products all over the globe.

Meanwhile, DuckDuckGo is another name worth mentioning – the privacy-focused search engine doesn’t have anywhere near the same kind of financial backing as Microsoft, but it does differentiate its product considerably.

The Antitrust battle, for example, has a lot of things at stake for google considering how google has maintained anti-competitive practices through different means.

“Google cornered the web search and search ads markets by paying billions of dollars to smartphone makers, wireless carriers and browser makers to promote its search engine and penalizing them for showcasing rivals”, the government alleges.

Just in case you are wondering, how and why do google keep up with such a massive market share and why is it very difficult for a real search engine to leave its imprints, then we will answer that question as well.

The answer to your question simply lies in the fact that Google make profits by being virtually the only option (apart from Facebook of course). Prices are rarely negotiable and in terms of quality, advertisers can’t do anything but accept what they are offered. They don’t have any say in this.

Also as earlier mentioned, you can’t get away from google and its subsidiary apps anywhere you go. Google’s strategy is to go where the users are and to ensure that wherever they go, a Google search is not hard to do.

With the help of google’s highly confidential algorithm ( which is secured as a proprietary advantage), google finishes more than 1 trillion inquiries consistently every year, without fail.

So by the day’s end, Google has the world’s most well-known web crawler, the most powerful lines of computer code in the global economy, controlling how much of the world accesses information found on the internet, and the starting point for billions of dollars of commerce which individuals use without the slightest hesitation, and the trust that they’re treating the entirety of their ordered sites similarly.
