Huawei has come out fighting against all the rumors that its smartphones will not get upgraded to Android Q, launching a series of 17 smartphones which will get Google’s latest OS despite the United States administration’s blacklist.

It has been in the announcements lately about what will happen to the existing and new Huawei smartphones when the US put the Chinese company into its trade blacklist. It triggered weeks of confusion and uncertainty to the company, which was expelled, and then restored to, a number of trade groups, which also control many features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and memory cards. The company also saw its Windows laptops pulled from Microsoft’s official store.

Due to all the created chaos, Huawei estimated the financial impact of the ban, an amount is to $30 billion in 2019 alone. For now, the Chinese company is fighting its biggest hurdle it is facing in trying to persuade the general public to keep buying its smartphones.

“We are confident that our most popular devices, including the P30 series, will be able to access Android Q,” says the Chinese company. “We have been working with third parties for many months to ensure devices will be able to receive Android Q updates. Technical preparations and testing have already begun for over 17 devices. In fact, our Mate 20 Pro has already been given the approval to receive Android Q as and when it is released by Google.”

Those 17 devices, according to Huawei, which would get updated to Android Q are as follows:

  1. P30 Pro
    2. P30
    3. Mate 20
    4. Mate 20 Pro
    5. PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 20 RS
    6. P30 lite
    7. P smart 2019
    8. P smart+ 2019
    9. P smart Z
    10. Mate 20 X
    11. Mate 20 X (5G)
    12. P20 Pro
    13. P20
    14. Mate 10 Pro
    15. PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10
    16. Mate 10
    17. Mate 20 Lite

It’s surely notable that none of the above devices are from Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand. But a source within the company recently revealed that the new Honor 20 Series, along with few other models would also get updated to the Android Q.
