Microsoft has purchased Clipchamp, video creation and editing tool for an undisclosed sum

Microsoft has acquired Clipchamp, however, no financial details about the transaction have been released yet. Clipchamp is a video editing tool that runs on the web. One of Microsoft’s blogs has revealed details regarding the acquisition.

This transaction will significantly assist Microsoft 365 and Clipchamp users to modify videos online using Microsoft 365 and Clipchamp. Currently, users can simply download Clipchamp from the Microsoft Store. Clipchamp was first introduced in 2013.

The business further stated in a press statement that “it had 17 million active users presently. Aside from that, Clipchamp is adopted by approximately 3,90,000 businesses all over the world”.

On September 22, Microsoft will host an event wherein the Microsoft Surface Go 3 will be unveiled. This phone will be an improved version of the Surface Go 2 that was earlier released.

Although no information has been yet received regarding the additional changes in the upcoming version, although there are numerous significant modifications in terms of specifications. The Intel chipset will be used in the Microsoft Surface Go 3 Tab as well.

According to WinFuture.de, the Microsoft Surface Go 3 will be available in two variants, both of which will feature Intel’s chipset. The first model will be equipped with an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor and 4 GB of RAM, while the second will be equipped with an Intel Core i3-10100Y processor and 8 GB of RAM.

Earlier before the Microsoft acquisition, Adobe had also acquired a video review and collaboration platform Frame.io for $1.28 million although unlike Clipchamp Frame.io can only be used by talented professionals.
