With a seemingly endless stream of games covering a variety of genres, there are often hidden gems that get lost in the shuffle or buried beneath the heavyweights. This is especially true of the indie scene of the time, which opened the door to smaller, often more experimental software.

The current generation of gaming is coming to an end, and virtually everything released by third-party publishers is expected to hit the market next year. There have been a number of critically acclaimed and high-selling video games over the past six years, from those released in the early days of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One to more recent releases such as Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s, but there have also been games that have not received the recognition they deserve due to low reviews and sales. I will be damned if I forget the importance of this game, but I will publish a list of some of my favorite games under the radar of the last few years.

The list of the best Xbox One games is interesting, especially because we are on the cusp of the next generation. With all the hype that comes with the upcoming Xbox X games, the resulting list of games can be an impressive thing. These are the titles that showcase the console to the fullest and test the limits of what we can do. The games we make show us the range of gameplay and rampage that the Xbox.

There is enough space here to keep you busy for an exceptionally long time and to show the console at its best. As there are plenty of bargains out there, it’s worth expanding your library, and it will be on display in the next generation.

1. Madmax

Description automatically generated

Released in 2015 the game was not as big of a hit as it was anticipated   The game is based on a mission in which the player encounters deadly factions and gangs in a post-apocalyptic world. You can play the eponymous angry Max in Mad Max: Fury Road, but the similarities end there: you can also play your own version of the character in a variety of different roles.  In the role of reluctant warrior Mad Max, you must leave the madness behind and embark on a treacherous journey to build the ultimate war vehicle. Players can customize and upgrade their vehicles by choosing from a variety of upgrades, including mounted weapons, armor, and engines, to survive the day. Build the ultimate war machine and fight with the most powerful weapons and armor in the game, as well as a variety of new vehicles.

Auto combat is pure physics – based on the fact that no two battles are always the same and enemy vehicles are taken out of the reach of powerful weapons. In the Shadows is not only your typical post-apocalyptic post office adventure but also a game of survival. Taking Shadows as inspiration, Mad Max grabs you by the scruff of the neck, with a new soundtrack, new characters, and a whole lot more. Apart from taking place in the same world, there are no other similarities between the two. The game was released on October 27, 2015.

3. Rivals of Aether

The 5 underrated Xbox games you must try 1

Rivals of Aether is an indie fighting game set in a world where warlike civilizations summon the power of fire, water, air, and earth. Bandai Namco believes a new iconic Pokemon bears a resemblance to one of their characters. The description of Rivals of Ether reads: “An indie fighting game set in the world of Rival, where wars between civilizations evoke the forces of fire, water, air, earth, or both. Rivals other is a game in the style of classic combat games from the 1990s and early 2000s, with an emphasis on the battle in an epic battle between two warring civilizations, where they summon the power of fire/water/air/earth and fight each other in battle.

Rival version of this character has had the same care and polish as no other rival. This DLC is aimed at all fans of the game and offers a new story mode, new characters, and a brand-new game mode. The same Ori as Ori from Blind Forest is the main character from the “Ori’s Story Mode” DLC for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

4. Flockers

The 5 underrated Xbox games you must try 2

True to its heritage, the studio has developed a more palatable successor for newcomers, which fits perfectly on touchscreen devices and, despite some strange problems, serves as a legitimate welcome to the worm-created world. It is actually quite interesting to see how the developer merged certain mechanics from the Worms and Lemming series into Flockers. A pared-down version of WormS, it makes for a complicated, occasionally messy action – Puzzler, which sits perfectly between a smartphone and tablet, as it delivers a mix of puzzle, puzzle-solving, and a bit of action.

The problem I have with the game, however, is how unoriginal it is compared to many other games of the past. However, it has been mentioned that the developer could possibly introduce a stage edit mode, which in my opinion would exponentially increase the amount of content available to the player, as well as the number of levels and editing modes.

it is quite important that the gameplay is made to change things, at least half – often, and that makes it more likely that it is an entertaining game than it is due in large part to puzzle burnout. The guys behind the game have done wonderful things for the independent gaming scene in recent years, so it was kind of sad that they didn’t really try to push the button with Flockers. Flocksers on the Xbox One meets a resonance of hope in terms of a fun game, but also one of the most challenging games out there right now.

5. ReCore

The 5 underrated Xbox games you must try 3
src: digital trends

ReCore is Microsoft’s exclusive product, an Xbox exclusive(for a good time) for the future (although you can play it on PC now). The Xbox One’s exclusive ReCore looks like a mash-up of Star Wars and Wall-E, but with a slight twist on the original. The story of the game is mainly based on Joule Adams after she awakes from cryosleep, and the story revolves around her protagonist. The game follows her on a mission to explore the demise of the human colony. The film takes the player into the world of Far Eden and follows the protagonist’s journey from her home in the United States to her mission to explore the “demise of human colonies.”

On the surface, the game has a lot to recommend it, and that makes it a game I recommend. The Metroid Prime series has been hailed as one of the most successful video game franchises of all time, if not the best.  ReCore has shaken things up a bit and ushered in the silly video game season with problems that were not so thoroughly avoidable. One or two technical errors can be forgiven if one is not asked to shell out more than PS50.

In an epic, action-packed generation that spans the lifespan of both the PS4 and Xbox One, there seems to be no shortage of massively hyped games for gamers to immerse themselves in. This generation has produced many high-quality titles, but it has also surpassed itself in terms of quality. There were so many legendary titles like Super Mario Bros. 2, Final Fantasy VII, and even the original Super Metroid. With the flood of great titles has come a flood of games that have been pigeonholed or ignored. This is my list of the 5 most underrated games of this generation, including some of my favorite games from the Xbox One (Some of them are played in other platforms too).
