According to Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not release in India, a Google spokesperson told Gadgets 360 that rather than India the Google’s new flagship phones will launch in Australia, France, Germany, Japan, UK, US, Canada, and Taiwan.
In fact, in UK, US, and Canada the pre-order of the phones has been started. Hence, interested people can pre-book the phones via the official website. For a year Google has not released any of its new pixel series phones in India.
However, according to a market expert due to having fewer features in previous Pixel series phones, Google decided to not launch them in India as Indian consumers mostly prefer those phones offering good features.
He further said that the price of these two new smartphones is not familiar with the Indian smartphone market as here most of the smartphones are available for sale under Rs 20,000, hence the company can’t compete with the other smartphone companies who’ve already set its footprints in the Indian market.
Apart from this lack of local production and channel tie-ups could also be the reason behind this decision. However, despite having less demand in the market consumers of India are already looking forward to the Pixel 6 series phones hence Google must think to launch them in India too.
What features come with Pixel 6 series phones?
Talking about the features Pixel 6 has a Tensor SoC to improve the machine learning performance of the phone. Apart from this, the phone also has a slew of camera-focused features such as the Magic Eraser. When it comes to price the new Pixel 6 phone is available at a price of $599, on the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro can be purchased for $899.
