Elon Musk-owned satellite service Starlink has finally become a registered company in India. The company took this step to apply for licenses in India. Starlink aims to provide broadband internet facility to the rural areas of India, where internet facilities are not available.

In a linked in post Sanjay Bhargava, India director for Starlink said, “The company’s affordable satellite broadband services will be released in India by next year, currently the company is waiting for government approval.

SpaceX now owns a 100 percent subsidiary in India. Now the company is all set to apply for licenses, open bank accounts, etc”.Sanjay Bhargava also shows interest to have a 30-minute virtual meet with MPs, Ministers, Secretaries to GOI, or Principal Secretaries to discuss with them the importance of 100 percent broadband service for the citizens.
