After a while of anxious waiting, there’s some news for the PUBG lovers in India. Reports of PUBG India’s relaunch in the country appeared every now and then, but there was never any specific evidence to rely on. Recently the company officially confirmed Battlegrounds Mobile India as the game’s launch. Although the South Korean video game developer Krafton has not specified a specific release date, it has confirmed that the battle royale game will be announced soon. According to the press release, the game will have a world-class AAA online gaming experience on mobile devices.
The official Battlegrounds Mobile India website is now live. The developer has also published a trailer for the game. Although there is no such detail about the game on the website or in the teaser, A 9second animation depicts the game’s title and logo. “Battlegrounds Mobile India is coming soon,” it says.
Only India will be permitted to play the game. On mobile devices, it will be available as a free-to-play game. The game will be soon available for pre-registration prior to its official launch.
Battlegrounds Mobile India will have its own e-sports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues, as well as unique in-game activities such as outfits and features. Krafton says it will work alongside its partner on the same and will also regularly release in-game content, beginning with a series of India-specific in-game events at launch, to be announced some time later.
Further Krafton adds up, “This will ensure privacy rights are respected, and all data collection and storage will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players here.”
