It’s a great week for sports on Xbox One, with the return of three popular franchises. Top of the list is Konami’s rebranded eFootball PES 2020. The publisher is building a huge push with this year’s game by getting exclusive rights to Serie A, and securing partnerships with Juventus and Bayern Munich. It is probably not enough to topple the dominance of EA’s FIFA series; however, many are happy to see the franchise get some love from its much-maligned publisher.
Also coming to Xbox One is NHL 20 Ultimate Edition (the standard version drops next week) and the fourth entry in Monster’s NASCAR Heat series. Friday also witnesses the long-awaited release of Gearbox Software’s first-person shooter, Borderlands 3.
Other new games include rhythm sports knockabout, Super Dodgeball Beats, the console port of popular PC tower-defense game, Path of Exile: Blight, and the retail, digital and Xbox Game Pass release of Gears 5 (after the game released early for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers last week).
All of next week’s new releases can be bought from the Xbox digital games store and the Microsoft online store. Here’s the full lineup.
