Recently, there have been reports of WhatsApp working on a feature called Communities. If you don’t know what is communities feature then let me tell you that this upcoming feature gives more power to group admin and helps to connect more people.
WABetaInfo has given this information in its blog. It is believed that after this feature is added to WhatsApp publicly, WhatsApp will give tough competition to apps like Signal and Telegram. This feature will be helpful for group admins to create groups within groups.
In addition, the communities feature will also help admins to invite new users through the community Invite link and then connect with each other. According to WAbetainfo, the community chat will be end-to-end encrypted.
The community icon will come in a squarish design with rounded corners, WAbetainfo further added. However, the official release date of the Communities feature has not been announced yet by WhatsApp.
