Earlier last month, Microsoft made available Windows 11 for the computers that are complying with the compatibility requirements for the installation.
According to Microsoft, Windows 11 users might witness some issues relating to the opening and closing of some of the applications installed in their personal computers. It might happen because of the expired digital certificate.
“Starting on November 1, 2021, some users might be unable to open or use certain built-in Windows apps or parts of some built-in apps that have not installed KB5006746, released October 21, 2021,” Microsoft explained on the Windows health dashboard.
According to the reports of Bleeping Computer
Windows also said in a report that the digital certificate was expired on 31st October 2021. The devices which are running on S mode might get affected.
Some of the applications that might get affected can be:
- Snipping Tool
- Few pages in the Settings app
- IME UI
- Touch Keyboard, voice typing
- Start
- Tips
Affected customers can install KB5006746 release preview update to resolve all these issues relating to these apps and pages,
