Reportedly, many foreign hackers has had created havoc by hacking many organizations from various data-heavy and sensitive departments including defense, energy, healthcare, technology, and education. According to the sources, at least one of the organizations belongs to the United States.
The primary objective of the hackers behind these attacks is to steal the main data key from US defense contractors for their personal gains. Many cybersecurity researchers are trying their best to expose these unidentified and highly harmful attackers as they are providing harm at a very big level to the organizations.
According to the reports of CNN Politics, in this case, the hackers have stolen passwords from some targeted organizations with a goal of maintaining long-term access to those networks, Ryan Olson, a senior Palo Alto Networks executive. The intruders could then be well placed to intercept sensitive data sent over email or stored on computer systems until they are kicked out of the network.
There have been some reports that hackers of Chinese origin have been making much software vulnerable relating to finance and public sector organizations in The US and Europe.
“In aggregate, access to that information can be really valuable,” Olson said. “Even if it’s not classified information, even if it’s just information about how the business is doing.”
