The new Disney+ Hotstar subscription at Rs 49 is thanks to an introductory promotion, according to Reddit user /u/One-Cost-4363. This is after a rupees 50 discount, implying that once the promotion time expires, the price may be increased to rupees 99 per month.
The Rs. 49 subscription provides you access to Disney+ Hotstar’s entire collection of material, including movies, TV shows, live sports, and Hotstar-exclusive entertainment. However, only one device can be logged in at a time, and the quality is limited to HD (720p). You will see adverts when streaming video because the plan is ad-supported.
Aside from that, Disney+ Hotstar is testing a new plan for Rs. 199, which includes a six-month subscription to the service. The streaming quality and availability are comparable to the Rs. 49 package.
Netflix just announced a significant price reduction in its India plans, with monthly memberships starting at 149 rupees, down from 199 rupees previously. The price reduction comes in the face of increased competition from Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLIV, Zee5, and others.
