Instagram, a Facebook-owned social media platform, had experienced a global outage. Users were unable to use Instagram as a result of this. The cause for Instagram’s outage has yet to be determined. The Instagram service had been offline for hours, as per the Downdetector website.
The Instagram service went offline at around 12:15 pm. India was suffered the most as a result of this outage. The cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai have been the hardest hit. Although now the issue has been resolved hence, the users can simply browse Instagram.
Users have had to deal with a slew of issues as a result of Instagram’s outage. Instagrammers struggled a lot to refresh their feeds. Also, Instagram’s direct messages weren’t functioning. Additionally, the Instagram profile page also was not loading. Users first assumed that the trouble with Instagram was due to an internet issue.
Unfortunately, when one user after another on Twitter claimed that Instagram was unavailable, the news of Instagram’s outage spread. As per Downdetector’s data, around 3,000 users had complained about outage around the world.
Although, this is not the first time Instagram users suffered the outage as since past few years many times users have faced similar issues while login to there accounts, yet the real reason of the outage is unknown.
The majority of these claims have come from Instagram users in India. Yet, the investigation into why Instagram down continued. Furthermore, some users were also started posting memes on Twitter after the outage new came to light.
