HCL Technologies Ltd. has hired Siki Giunta, a former Accenture Plc executive, to lead its cloud-consulting business, at a time when demand for cloud services has increased due to pandemic-induced remote working.
Giunta, who has joined HCL Technologies as an executive vice president, has extensive experience leading the development of global cloud strategies for multinational clients.
Guinta stated in response to her appointment, “Cloud has become the strategic pillar within any organisation to build a responsive, scalable, and resilient business model.” Organizations today face a pressing need to ‘rethink cloud’ in order to accelerate digital transformation and maximise business value while aligning with customer needs, organisational goals, and unique market conditions.”
She comes to HCL Technologies from Accenture, where she was managing director and global strategy lead for the firm’s Journey to Cloud programme. She was previously the CEO of Managed Objects and Fortisphere.
Indian IT firms are benefiting from their clients’ increased spending on cloud services for their businesses. A third of most companies’ revenue comes from customers looking to move their applications from their servers to the cloud.
