Covid19 takes away several people’s jobs worldwide in past one year. Although, after struggling for a year there is good news for all the job aspirants as India’s e-commerce industry is expected to generate 12 million new jobs by 2030.
Apart from that recently, a senior global vice president of Amazon Amit Agarwal also confirmed Amazon’s intention to give 2 million jobs opportunities across India by 2025. Amit Agarwal shares this goal at a retail summit while delivering his speech.
Not only jobs but several businesses also suffered during the lockdown as the people were not allowed to go outside to make purchases.He further added that Amazon aims to integrate around 1 crore small and medium scale businesses into its e-commerce and digital payment platforms.
During the lockdown, if anyone suffered the most then it is small businesses, however, Amazon also aims to integrate 1 million small offline stores into its platform and aid them in earning $ 10 billion in exports from India. Moreover, Amazon recently also made several efforts to aid thousands of small businesses to reach a large customer base to support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Around 3 lakh new sellers have joined Amazon store in the past 18 months 75,000 of which are Indian local businesses spread across 450 cities. Joining Amazon helped these businesses to reach their products to the global market and earn a good reputation worldwide. Not only metropolitan cities, but small cities businesses are also able to earn a good amount of profit using Amazon.
