Hence, E-mail users should exercise caution to avoid being a victim of this virus as such Ransomware gangs could leverage viruses to gain access to users’ bank accounts.

Let me tell you that the new Ransomware virus has been crafted especially for Windows pcs. This virus infiltrated the computer network via email. The virus then hands over control of the PC to the cybercriminals after which the cybercriminals remotely seal the PC.

Following that, money is demanded to not expose the data. The money is usually demanded via a bitcoin transaction. If the users deny paying the amount, the vital files will be destroyed by the hackers and the pc could be turned off after which you will no longer be able to protect your data.

How to protect the PC?

Step 1. First of all, preserve the most recent versions of your programs and os.

Step 2. Detach the communications system from commercial operations. Physical control and virtual local area networks must be adopted for this.

Step 3. The users should disable their Remote Desktop Protocol.

Step 4. A stable network must be used and users’ ability to install and operate software applications must be restricted.
