Within only 24 hours, The Ola e-scooter has received 1 lakh pre-launch bookings making it the world’s “most pre-booked scooter”Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, revealed on Saturday. On its official website, Ola Electric announced the start of reservations on July 15th for a nominal fee of $499.
Bhavish Aggarwal said on Twitter that, “India’s EV revolution is off to an explosive start. Huge thanks to the 100,000+ revolutionaries who’ve joined us and reserved their scooter,”
“I am thrilled by the tremendous response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The unprecedented demand is a clear indicator of shifting consumer preferences to EVs,” Bhavish Aggarwal said in a statement.
“This is a huge step forward in our mission to transition the world to sustainable mobility. I thank all the consumers who have booked the Ola Scooter and have joined the EV revolution. This is only the beginning!”
The new Ola electric scooter is anticipated to arrive in the nation later this month. According to Ola Electric, the scooter will also feature the best trunk space in its class. The new scooter will also come with a keyless experience thanks to an app-based key.
The electric scooter, according to Ola, would include ergonomic seats. The scooter will also have “better turning” and “class-leading acceleration,” according to the manufacturer.
