Instagram will soon incorporate a “like button” for stories

Instagram is continuously introducing new features to facilitate convenience to its users this time the Facebook-owned photo-sharing app is going to incorporate a new “Like button” to its app. Viewers can like Instagram stories using this feature.

This feature will be visible to users on the Main Stories tab. For your knowledge, the tech giant had already introduced “Vanish Mode” available to all users. Alessandro Paluzzi, an Instagram developer, confirmed this news on his official Twitter account and stated that “a user will be allowed to like Instagram’s stories of others several times.

The like button may be located in the text bar, according to the screenshot posted by Paluzzi. If the button is tapped, an animation will display. Users will also be able to check the amount of likes on the stories using this feature, according to a report from Web Beta Info.

However, currently, this feature is undergoing testing and is likely to be made available to all users shortly. Last year, Instagram debuted Vanish Mode. The benefit of this function is that it deletes texts automatically once it is turned on. Messages sent in Vanish mode cannot be forwarded or quoted.

In “Vanish mode”, users will also lose their chat history. In addition, whenever someone captures a screenshot of a text while in Vanish Mode, the source of the text will receive the information via an alert.

How to enable Vanish mode of Instagram?

Step 1. To enable the “Vanish Mode” of Instagram, users first need to navigate to a chatbox.

Step 2. Users must immediately scroll down in order to set up Vanish Mode.

Step 3. Although, if a user wants to leave Vanish Mode, they need to scroll down once more. This will disable Vanish Mode.
