Clubhouse the-invite-only social audio app is planning ahead with its intention to pay Indian content producers via the platform. It will begin it’s enlisting the aid of a few Indian creators to promote their show on the site. 

Creators will be able to create offerings for creative assets, advertising within and beyond Clubhouse, and assist in the development of an audience as part of this initiative.

Aarthi Ramamurthy, Head of International at Clubhouse said that the creators will be offered financial support either through pairing them with sponsors or by giving a monthly stipend.

Creators who want to make money should apply on Clubhouse’s website and the firm will, later on, examine submissions based on a rolling, according to the company. 

The Android version of the software was released last month in the market. On Google Play the app has already received over five million downloads. 

Twitter Spaces, another social audio app, is seeking a similar strategy with its ‘ticketed spaces’ feature, which will allow presenters to organize talks and users have to pay for the access.

Twitter has no plans to monetize promoted areas for businesses or marketers at this time in comparison with Clubhouse, according to the firm. 

Clubhouse clones are also being developed by Reddit and Facebook. According to the sources. The company’s live audio function was also tested by Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg in Taiwan. The launch date for the social network’s audio app is yet unknown.
