If you are a user of Facebook, WhatsApp, or Instagram, you should be aware since Meta has reported that approximately 7 major businesses have been blacklisted around the globe for spying on users’ online behavior. Beatrox, Citrox, Cobwebs Technologies cognite, Black Cube, and Bluehawk CI were engaged in the spying activities.

These companies attacked the leaders, electoral officials, human rights advocates, and several other big personalities of around 100 nations. These firms usually collect funds from the people in order to snoop on the specific user.

Due to this, they’re termed as “surveillance-for-hire” firms. These firms might use the Internet to gain information about people, distort facts, and get into their devices and accounts. Roughly 50,000 users have got a notice from social networking company Meta.

The surveillance firms were uncovered following a month of research, as per the Meta. WhatsApp lodged a complaint against the Israeli technology firm NSO Group in the year 2019 for exploiting Pegasus software to spy on Journalists and human rights advocates.
