Microsoft owns Two Hat to work on online safety and wellness solutions

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Two Hat, a prominent content moderation solution provider that provides protective measures for online communities with the goal of providing a good experience to everyone.

According to the firm, the volume of hazardous information disseminated online is increasing internationally, necessitating more efficient and proactive content filtering.

The company said in a statement, “For any online community to thrive, content moderation is a critical investment to ensure positive user experiences and maintain engagement over time,” the company said in a statement.

“Microsoft and Two Hat share a vision for using advancements in moderation technology to nurture and protect diverse, global online communities,” it added.

 

Talking about the partnership between Microsoft and Two Hat this acquisition is a significant step. Moreover, this will bring together breakthrough technologies, research capabilities, highly trained employees, and the most comprehensive cloud infrastructure.

“Working with the diverse and experienced team at Two Hat over the years, it has become clear that we are fully aligned with the core values inspired by the vision of founder, Chris Priebe, to deliver a holistic approach for positive and thriving online communities,” the firm said. According to Microsoft, this is a significant investment because of the diversity of products, new prospective consumers, and service expertise provided to Two Hat’s present clients.

Microsoft has claimed that gaming should be accessible to all individuals. For several years, Microsoft and Two Hat have worked together to incorporate proactive moderation technology into gaming and non-gaming experiences in order to detect and remove harmful content before it reaches members of communities.
