All interested and excited gamers are now getting ready ever since Microsoft has pulled back the curtain on its new Xbox console. The tech giant announced on Sunday that the console named ‘Project Scarlett’ will debut at the end of next year.

This new console is four times as powerful as the Xbox One S, and comes with higher resolution, more memory, more storage, and better graphics, said Microsoft. “A console should be built and optimized for one thing, and one thing only: games,” said Phil Spencer, executive VP of gaming at Microsoft, at the event Sunday. “Thousands of games across four console generations will look and play best on Project Scarlett,” Microsoft said.

The announcement was made by Microsoft at the E3 2019 press conference, and accordingly, the console will be launched alongside the game “Halo Infinite”. The huge announcement also involved the release of the new Xbox controller that comes with a Bluetooth along with a rechargeable battery that has up to 40 hours of life.

This console will be able to offer frame rates up to 120 frames per second, or twice the average TV. The device would also be able to load games much faster than through its older mechanical hard drives since it consists of a solid-state drive.

Expected to land on retail shelves next year, this new Xbox is coming at a time of transition in the video game world, since both Microsoft and Sony have announced the releases of next-generation video game consoles. But this generation is also waiting for the releases in order to offer new competition and change the video game world.

Like the next-generation PlayStation, the console will include a fast non-mechanical SSD hard-drive and will be powered by innards built with the help of chipmaker AMD. Meanwhile, Microsoft is also starting public tests of its Project Xcloud streaming service in October, promising the newcomers its ability to play high-end games on their mobile devices. Now that’s too much of “new” for all the gamers, hope to see the best of what these giant techs can offer.

Hands-on XCLOUD
