Belkin is expanding its Soundform true wireless offering with the Immerse earbuds. The earbuds are equipped with hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, which should ensure noise-free music.
If you’re unfamiliar with the “hybrid” kind of ANC, it consists of two microphones on the inside and outside of each earbud that detect and cancel out sound from your surroundings, according to SoundGuys. The mic is placed on the inside or outside of the earphone in other types of ANC, which isn’t necessarily as effective at filtering out noise.
The battery life on the Immerse earbuds is also rather impressive. On a single charge, each earbud is meant to last eight hours, and when combined with the charging case, it may last up to 36 hours. They also feature aptX HD, a Bluetooth codec that transmits high-resolution music, as well as Multipoint technology, which should allow you to pair the earbuds with two devices simultaneously. The earbuds also include 12mm drivers and are compatible with Apple’s Find My app, which allows you to track their location if you misplace them.
Belkin recently updated its True Wireless lineup in June of last year, when it debuted the Move buds for a low price. Last January, Belkin released its first Find My-compatible Soundform Freedom earbuds. The Soundform Immerse noise-canceling earbuds will be available in the second quarter of 2022, but there is no pricing information yet.
