Now when we know all the four types of the treadmill, the question arises which treadmill is the best and how to choose one. The selection is not difficult; you just need to keep various factors in mind.

1. Check Maximum Weight Needed

Check the maximum user weight; this will be the first step to choose the best treadmill with the best frame and a motor. A person who weighs more than 160 Kgs needs a robust treadmill and a person with a weight of 180 KG needs a commercial gym treadmill. The heavier the machine will be the more robust its activities will be.

2. Horsepower

The second thing to be kept in mind while choosing a treadmill is horsepower. A higher horsepower indicates a good quality motor and long-lasting treadmill. There are treadmills with 1.75 horsepower, 3 horsepower, and 1 horsepower available in the market. But this depends upon the type of workout you aim carrying out. If you are extremely motivated to work out you must prefer a 1.75 or 3 horsepower treadmill.

3. Frame

The third thing that should be kept in mind before buying a treadmill is the frame. Usually, treadmills come with a steel or aluminum frame. Steel frames are quite tough and springier when you climb on it. Aluminum frames are also strong but not better than steel frames

4. Shock absorption system

The treadmill should have a shock absorption system; this can help us reduce common injuries. You need to avoid treadmills that provide a spring shock absorption system because springs compress and then bounced back with similar force into the body. Whereas a variable durometer elastomer cushion absorbs energy and is mostly found in commercial treadmills.

Make sure that you place a treadmill on a rug or a heavy sheet to optimize the risk of falling. Make sure that all the equipment and parts of the machine are up to date.

7. Customer reviews

Lastly, check for customer reviews. Many various treadmills look good from the outside but Working might not be up to the mark. Hence it is good to check for customer reviews before making a purchase.

8. Guarantee and warranty

Finally apart from all the above go to the terms and conditions of the treadmill. Various treadmills include a money-back guarantee, replacement of servicing within the warranty period, treadmills also contain manufacturer warranty for any damages. If you are buying a second-hand machine then there might be second-hand warranties. And keep a check on the warranty period along with a regular service of the treadmill.

CONCLUSION

As per our opinion, the best treadmill is an electronic treadmill which is also foldable and can be easily used at home. The treadmill must be at least 3 hp making work-out more effective. It should come in a steel frame rather than the aluminum frame and must have various other features like a heart rate monitor, audio system, built-in speakers, and various programs. A treadmill should have at least a safety kit and handrails to keep up the support. Apart from this, a general warranty in respect of servicing and replacement is a must.
