The ever-waiting announcement came from an event in Los Angeles where the CEO of Niantic, John Hanke, (also the developer of Pokemon Go) released the final dates of release of the upcoming AR game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
Though it’s unclear how long it will take to reach a more global audience, according to an official tweet, the worldwide launch of the long-awaited game begins this Friday, June 21. Interested ones can check out IGN’s preview of the game to get all the details about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The game was previously launched in beta in Australia and New Zealand.
Many are excited about this because it is reported that Niantic and Warner Bros. have crafted a new type of adventure in the wizarding world, despite it not having the option to hang out with our favorites Harry, Hermione, and Ron. But I’m definitely sure we will experience a bit of magic in our everyday lives.
Also, a joint collaboration for the new website, WizardingWorld.com, was announced last month by Pottermore and Warner Bros. From now on, this new website will release all of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts content.
Wizarding World has brought the rights to Harry Potter, both books and films, together in one location, so that the possibilities to get content hassle-free are endless. The game is similar to Pokemon Go but not as broadly mainstream a hook as “catch all the pokemon”. And it is guaranteed to have a ton of players on day one, and it would also be a major competitor to both Dragon Quest and Minecraft.
