The antitrust authority in South Korea said on Thursday that it will conduct a final investigation into whether Google LLC misused its market monopoly in the mobile operating system and app industries.
Throughout 2016, the FTC has been investigating Google for allegedly preventing local smartphone manufacturers from utilizing competing operating systems. According to the Yonhap news agency, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) will conduct its third and final plenary meeting on the issue on September 1 before deciding whether to take disciplinary action against the US tech giant.
