Amid the announcement of a new Pixel phone, Google reportedly indicated to discontinue Pixel 4A 5G and the Pixel 5 phones. Although, currently the company has not yet removed these phones from Google’s online store the company is expected to remove these devices from its official store soon. In a recent statement, Google’s Spokesman confirmed to continue selling Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 at the Google-owned stores situated in the US till the release of Pixel 5a (5G).
It is believed that Google took the decision to discontinue Pixel 4a 5G to shift the customer’s attention to the recently launched successor of the model in order to make the product launch successful in the market. However, it is still a bit difficult to understand the discontinuation of the Pixel 5 device before the arrival of its successor.
Meanwhile, the reason behind the discontinuation of Pixel 5 is assumed to be the similarities between Pixel 5 and Pixel 6 and 6 Pro as Google is looking forward to shifting all the attention of its consumers to its soon to be arriving Pixel 6 and 6 Pro and want to give a tough competition to the major mobile manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung. Although, users might not be happy to hear this news as Google’s Pixel 5 offers some fantastic features at an affordable cost.
Moreover, if you belong to India then you’ll not be able to take leverage of these devices as Google has not yet launched Pixel 5, Pixel 4A and 5A in the Indian market instead only the residents of the USA and Japan can enjoy using these phones.
