Amazon intends to invest EUR 2.5 billion in new data centers in Aragon, Spain’s northern area. It is expected that the data center will be established by 2022.

Although Amazon Web Service data centers are already located in several European nations, where both the public and private sectors are already using their service. However, Amazon has opted to invest in this project in order to be able to host data for its Spanish customers. Amazon Web Services will invest the funds throughout ten years in the development of data centers, the acquisition of necessary machineries, and the payment of employees who will be responsible for accomplishing the tasks in the company.
