Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has recently expressed the possibility of launching Starlink broadband service in India by December next 2022. This broadband service will provide a high-speed data facility to Indian users.
According to Sanjay Bhargava, Country Director, Starlink, the number of pre-bookings in India has already crossed the 5000 mark and with the help of this broadband service, people living in rural areas will also be able to enjoy high-speed internet services.
However, at present, this service is going through the beta stage and during this time the company will provide an internet facility at 50 to 150 megabit per second speed from each user by taking a deposit of Rs 7,350.
Let me tell you that apart from Starlink, other major mobile operating companies are also active in this field in the country and it is believed that Starlink broadband service will give tough competition to operating giants like Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea.
The company has requested the residents to do maximum prebooking because only after this the company will get approval from the government of India to start this broadband service across the nation. Besides this, sanjay bhargava has further added “if they do not get the PAN India acceptance to launch the broadband facility, then they will try to get the acceptance for the pilot project”.
