With the advent of Independence Day, a wave of happiness rushes on social media, everyone congratulates Independence Day in their own way, some by posting photos on Facebook or other social media networks and some by making short videos. To make this occasion more special, Snapchat has launched a landmark lens on its platform which has been developed by Augmented Reality technology.
Whenever you capture a photo in front of India Gate using this augmented lens of Snapchat, India Gate will appear fully decorated with the tricolor. Durgesh Kaushik, Head of Market Development, Snapchat, says that we are always exploring new features that Indian users will like more. This is not the first time that Snapchat has added such a lens to its platform as Snapchat had previously launched such kinds of lenses for the Gateway of India in Mumbai and the Taj Mahal in Agra too.
These lenses developed with the help of Augmented Reality give users an opportunity to capture the world’s most famous historical monuments in an attractive form to their cameras.Snapchat keeps updating useful features on its platform from time to time for the convenience of its users, last year Snapchat also launched a feature called Spotlight. With the help of this feature, users can easily create short videos and share them on the platform with the desired filters.
The company believes that this feature will help users to attract more followers. Users who will reportedly be more engaged on short videos will be paid based on the reward system. It is believed that this feature released by Snapchat will give tough competition to apps like Instagram and Facebook.
