After receiving several complaints from the citizens of Palestine and activists about not being able to view the posts from Palestine, Instagram made some changes to its algorithm. According to a source close to the tech giant, individuals were unable to access shared content linked to the attack in Palestine due to Instagram’s existing algorithm.

Previously, Instagram preferred only original posts over shared posts on their platform. However, thanks to algorithm changes, a shared post can now also be seen by millions of people. He also stated that we are not hiding posts intentionally and that all allegations made against Instagram are false.
He further apologised for the inconvenience that this incident has caused to the public, “We never intend to silence the Palestinian people’s voice.” This issue arose when Palestinian citizens and pro activists noticed that their Instagram posts about the recent attack on Palestine were suddenly receiving fewer views, due to which the Palestinian activists or citizens criticized Instagram for hiding their posts. However, the company later denied the allegations made by the Palestinians.
In May previously, Instagram was accused of deleting posts about the al-Aqsa mosque attack or incorrectly labeling the place as a terrorist organization. Due to these incidents, Instagram was continuously criticized for its actions and was mistakenly blamed for hiding viral posts of recent Palestine attacks.
