Tata Group won the bid of Air India, Tata Group has acquired ownership of Air India by buying a 100% stake in it. From now on, the maintenance of Air India will be the responsibility of the Tata Group.
This exercise was going on for a long time and many big companies were involved in this race but due to one reason or the other, the deal got canceled. Although let me tell you that till now Air India was a government company, but after the finalization of this deal, Air India will be known as a private airline.
It is believed that the government had decided to sell Air India in view of the losses and for its good maintenance. Along with the government, the employees working in Air India were also waiting for when this airline should be privatized and when it would be improved.
Although many people criticized this decision taken by the government, they believed that handing over government assets to private hands is a bad move, because of this move some people also have raised a question on a slogan spoken by prime minister Shri Narendra Modi ” me desh nhi bikne dunga”.
You will be surprised to hear that this airline was started in 1932 by JRD Tata, who himself was a skilled pilot. At that time Air India was known as Tata Airlines, however, after the Second World War this airline was renamed Air India and the Government of India bought 49% shares of this airline and after some time the Government of India passed the Air Corporate Act.
By doing this bought all the shares of this airline.Although the official confirmation of this news has not been received yet, according to Aviation Secretary Pradeep Narula, the results of the bids will be clear only after the opening of the financial bids.
