Update

WhatsApp will soon launch the Snapchat-like feature ‘View Once’ on its platform.

WhatsApp is soon going to introduce a feature like Snapchat for its users, although this feature is currently under the testing stage and the release date of this feature has not been announced yet. WaBetaInfo shared this news. Let us know what this feature is and how it will work. The Snapchat feature ‘View Once’ will automatically delete the media message after users view the message. This feature was recently released for Android Beta.

However, this feature also has a drawback. If someone takes a screenshot of the photo sent by you, then that screenshot will not be deleted and as a result, the receiver will be able to save your photo on his mobile device.

It is often seen that users are hesitant to share their photos with other users on WhatsApp, although after this update, users will be able to share their photos and videos without any hesitation and fear because this feature has been added keeping in mind the security and privacy of the users.

However, WhatsApp is not releasing the screenshot detection feature because despite the screenshot detection as it can be broken by many apps. However, WhatsApp is thinking of notifying the sender whenever someone taking a screenshot of the photo.

Besides that, WhatsApp is also working on two other features, one of which includes delivering high-resolution photos to people. Users will have three choices within this feature: Auto, Best Quality, and Data Saver. From these three choices, the user can select the best alternative for their needs. In-app notification is yet another feature that allows users to view pictures, videos, GIFs, and stickers in the notification banner. Although, similar to ‘View once’ these features are also in the progress hence, it could be possible to see some more changes with the release of the features.
