At Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference, Shinji Mikami announced GhostWire: Tokyo, the next game by Evil Within series developers Tango Gameworks.
This new game is described as an action-adventure game with many horror elements, where the player helps the city in getting rid of some supernatural evil. The description is given by the creative director Ikumi Nakamura. But the director also gave a careful and clear statement that the game would not be the survival horror game, thus clearing all the uprising doubts of the interested and excited ones.
The official trailer launched features a world in disarray as people spontaneously vanish into thin air without any trace. With the cause of this unknown, it’s up to the players to get to the bottom of things, and of course, that’s easier said than done, provided with all sorts of paranormal entities to fight.
Despite of all the fascinating trailers, no gameplay has been shown yet, and the players will be armed with “spectral abilities”, though the combat operation is still unknown. The announcement seemed vague to many, but here’s the description of the game: “After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before.
Don’t fear the unknown. Attack it”
