The sync issue with WhatsApp-connected devices has been fixed

Users have been experiencing some difficulty in Whatsapp while running it on multiple devices. According to the problem, the communications between the many linked devices are not properly synchronized. To fix the issue, the messaging app is currently pushing out a security update for the bug, which fixes the sync problem. It’s apparently being handed out to WhatsApp beta users and will take effect immediately.

As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is releasing a new security update that improves the synchronization of a user’s WhatsApp chat across their mobile app and other connected devices, such as a laptop running WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop. WhatsApp users’ discussions and media appeared differently on connected devices as a result of the bug.

iSO and Android users of WhatsApp will be getting the fix at the moment. Moreover, WhatsApp may log out users who are experiencing this issue from their associated devices as part of the security upgrade.

“Your devices were logged out due to an unexpected issue. Please re-link your devices”. Users will see this message appearing on their screen when their WhatsApp will be logged out on their devices. This is thought to be a safety precaution for connected devices. Users may reconnect their devices by heading to Settings > Linked devices and scanning the QR code provided.

The Mark Zuckerberg-owned messaging company also introduced three additional time settings for its vanishing messages function earlier this week. The earlier this year rolled out vanishing messages function only gave the option of automatically erasing a message or material after 7 days.
